My Journey

It all began with a desire to help individuals navigate traumatic childhoods and challenging relationships.

I am passionate about helping people feel better about themselves and finding clarity in their lives.

I went back to education as a mature student in 2013 at the Family Institute, South Wales University where I acquired a Bsc(Hons) in Systemic Counselling.

I also acquired my diploma in Engaging with Adults who have been sexually abused during my placement with New Pathways along with suicide training and mental health first aid.

I have been practising as a qualified counsellor since 2018 and have had the privilege of working with a lot of wonderful people who have allowed me to accompany them on part of their journey.

I acquired my accreditation status with the BACP (British association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists) in June 2024.

    My Counselling approach

I take an integrative approach to counselling at ALW Counselling, recognizing that no two individuals are the same.

My approach is not a 'one size fits all' model.

I firmly believe that you are the expert on your own life, and I am here to guide you towards clarity with honesty and integrity.

I never assume that I know more than you about you.

My goal is to provide the support you need to gain clarity and feel empowered and autonomous.
